Led by RPO workshop leader James Redwood, The Soldier’s Tale was a Music and Literacy project for three primary schools in Brent: Kingsbury Green, Braintcroft Primary School and Elsley Primary School. The project demonstrates how a team of nine RPO musicians can help kids engage in classical repertoire and inspire the children’s own compositions and some really feel-good songs.

This was the vision of the Orchestra’s flamboyant founder Sir Thomas Beecham, whose legacy is maintained today as the Orchestra thrives under the exceptional direction of its new Artistic Director and Principal Conductor, Maestro Charles Dutoit.
